Kiwi V8 driver Greg Murphy might not make it to the start line for next month’s V8 Supercars enduro event at Phillip Island.
Murphy has undergone surgery after collapsing at home with a bulging disc in his lower back.
It could be touch and go for the season opener.
“I’d like to think it was 50-50, that would be pretty good odds,” he says.
“But at this stage, it’s probably too early to tell if we are going to make it or not.
“We’re going to have to look at some backup plans just in case.”
