An Auckland community is the latest to make it clear they won't be giving up their local post shop without a fight.

More than 50 people in Grey Lynn attended a meeting last night to express opposition to NZ Post's plan to scrap the office.

Local Soala Wilson says the post office is the centre of the community and provides flow on business to surrounding shops.

Dunedin residents have also been protesting the proposed closure of Princes St post office.

tell your MP and the CEO of NZ Post you want to keep your Post Office, get going on rounding people up to also write to those people and say they need the Post Office. Free post to the Prime Minister, or email address is online. good luck
