Pauline hit the nail on the head.Guys like Alex Jones hold extreme viewpoints involving elaborate conspiracies. Conspiracies that usually rely on a combination of facts, stats and a generous portion of biased interpretation and attempts to show causation where there is none.Another weakness in the argument of extreme conspiracists is, if you oppose their views, you are part of the conspiracy so commonsense evades them...circular arguments are a hard nut to crack and unless people think about it and see through the weak links in their stories,(like Pauline did), they get taken in...When the silent majority get their chance though, President Obama scores an impressive victory at the polls. Then Alex Jones supporters say he has a large following of listeners. If you've lived in the US you'd know the right control a vast majority of the radio networks and airwaves. A popular trend at the moment for the fringe right is they're dealing with a tyrant,....who just got re-elected with a majority of the popular vote. The man has a mandate to govern the country. So all those voters got scammed? They can't accept reality so they just fabricate one of their own...sad really.

Hey Ben thats kinda magical, the way you can generalize for over 300M people in the US and then follow it up with a smaller stereotyping of about 4.5M kiwis? Both populations are about as diverse as you can get per capita and people overseas see NZers as a pretty outgoing independent bunch?...You trying to suggest the dregs have been left to fester in Godzone? And I think the lack of intelligence prompting Spock's (?) emigration would've been missing from this govt....I'm just wandering did Paula pay for his ticket to leave? As for the interview...the guy lost it and flipped out, no two ways about it.
