A power pole leaning across lanes after a vehicle crash has forced the closure of Ngongotaha Rd in Rotorua.
One person was injured in the crash and taken to hospital with series injuries.
Ngongotaha Rd is closed north of the State Highway 5 intersection, and diversions are in place along SH5 northbound onto Western Rd.
Police say no information on the circumstances of the crash is available at this point, and it is unclear how long the road will remain closed.
