Hone Harawira (NZPA)
By Dan Satherley
Under-fire Maori Party MP Hone Harawira will comment publicly for the first time about his controversial trip to Paris and subsequent email on Maori radio station Waatea, 603AM, at 10am tomorrow morning.
Mr Harawira said Maori media "deserves" his first public response.
He will be speaking one-on-one with veteran Maori broadcaster Willie Jackson.
Mr Harawira's unscheduled trip to Paris, whilst in Europe on Parliamentary business, and a subsequent email in which he referred to "white motherf**kers raping our lands" landed the maverick MP in hot water last week. He has so far escaped punishment from his party.
Prime Minister John Key has called on Mr Harawira to apologise.
