US authorities have described it as the largest healthcare fraud case in American history.

Now the drug company GlaxoSmithKline has agreed to pay a fine of over $3 billion to settle it.

The agreement, which still needs court approval, would resolve allegations that the drugmaker broke laws in the marketing and development of pharmaceuticals.
