…And we’re getting married there! Yes, we have finally found THE Venue. Can you believe it after months of frustrated searching, disappointments and dashed dreams it really does seem that good things come in small packages, wait, wrong cliché; I mean good things take time.
We have managed to stumble across New Zealand’s own well kept secret, a beautiful little oasis, or more like little Italy shall we say.
Before I present ‘The Venue’ with it all, first let me go back to the things that were on our Venue wish list…
No travel- Inner Auckland Only
Serious WOW factor
Now we have managed to blow number 1 right out the water, as heaven happens to be located in Karaka- a casual hour or so out of Auckland.
But the reason we were able to dismiss number 1 was because this place has got number 2 all over it, oozing with it, rolling all around it, it’s got that want to squeeze it till it hurts kind of wow.
It has beauty, character, romance and charm, it looks like it’s just stepped out of a fairytale (or you’ve just stepped into one) and for us it is where dreams come true.
Karaka Point Vineyard is owned and run by the most magnificent Bella Donna, she is an expert in events and has a true passion for her livelihood and the stunning place she calls home. She loves all things to do with wine and Italy and this is abundantly evident throughout the property- this whole ideal fits rather well with us too (Venice proposal remember and wine… well enough said!).
The outdoor garden ceremony and the reception in the fantastic feasting hall will take place here- and we (yes the royal we- Bride and Groom) will even stay here in the Honeymoon suite. Having it all wrapped up together in the one place is really going to take the headache out of it all.
This place looks magical from every angle but I don’t want to spoil all the surprises so I have limited myself to revealing the 3 photos that I believe show it’s spirit and beauty but that also manages to save the best parts for the grand reveal (yes there truly are better parts!)
After all some secrets are what makes a secret garden so magical.
