Helana's breast cancer video message

3News NZ

One item on Helena McAlpine’s bucket list was to make a breast cancer video message.

Based on the much loved Chris Knox song Not Given Lightly it was directed by Toa Fraser.

It features all kinds of New Zealanders, who want to remind the women they love to be vigilant about checking for breast cancer

In Helena's words "watch the video, hear the song, pass it on".

firstly,i watched you live on Champbell live and was moved by your positive attidude!,this alone will go a long way to aid in any possible recovery!--the Immune system has a relative response to the mood we are in,we all need to be aware of this! I was a disheartened to read that they were saying the Cancer had come back for good?---I personally would not allow yourself to believe that ABSOLUTE STATEMENT,all things are possible and woth your attidude i believe you would think that also!!! Now,I am not a doctor, and i believe that has given me a possible advantage in realising your recovery!!,HOW?? I have been freelance studying health for 14 years now,a very long time, and have realised just how complex things are!and to really understand how we get diseased we HAVE TO HAVE UNDERSTANDING in a HOLISTIC way,now what is Holistic?,it takes into account all things that affect us in life that will have some bearing on our health.---There is the obvious influences,DIET and NUTRITION,exercise patterns,Stresses that impact, both in the work place and at home, and many other factors!,i have limited word space here so hopefully impart something here that might just grab your attention! ALL DISEASE is a consequence of A DEFICIENCY,mineral/vitamin and your onset of cancer was a result of that, medication hopes to replace in the cell what is lost ,which will retore function and therefore relieve symptoms of that deficiency, sounds so simple, but in reality this is the case!--Helena,You will have a deficency that is for sure!these deficiencies come about as above and other reasons CONSIDER this Why do we eat food?--it is to feed our bodies that has become somewhat deficient and we feel it in the way of hunger,---so we eat to restore,obvious!,-BUT CONSIDER THIS,if i were to take all my food over a year and mix it all together and analyse it for its nutritional content, you will find that mine will be different from yours, imbalances occur causing deficences leading to disease !!!

Thanks for your courage Helena. When I was diagnosed in 2002 my goal was to see my son graduate high school. He did and I did! So many of my courageous friends didn't. Your message is precious- I will hold you in my heart.
