If Sir Edmund Hillary were alive today, he would be ringing the climate change alarm bell over what is happening to his favourite mountain range.

I complained to the Standards Committee about the bias in this story. If you do the same make sure you refer to a transcript. Regardless, expect context dropping and mind-numbing appeasement. Consider some of the language: "A 'healthy' glacier flows like a slow-moving river of ice". "...the Ngozumpa [glacier] is stationary and "rotting" from the inside. I guess if I spent 10 years studying a glacier I'd grow to love it as as well. Or might I just get a life.

The polarisation on this topic has become a farce, consider that the power that pays some of the sceptics of AGW also pays its opposite to prove it, pretty quickly the red/blue, black/white duality evaporates in a puff of smoke.
The world can change all it wants, its where you put your bias that creates the highly dubious context, so while the greenies are off indoctrinating everyone kids with the ridiculous Gaia religion, their opposites are off indoctrinating our kids with the free market religion.
Business as usual.
If you want to unravel this mess, start with yourself, doubt everything at least once in your life, you'll be amaze at what appears on the other side. Once you get beyond the notion that World Leaders actually lead anything, other than your fickle opinion, you'll see the entire smoking ruin for what it is.
TV3 - you took your time, and you're still spinning it to suit the loony lefties, might be time to check on the work of Vijay Kumar Raina on India's 10,000 plus glaciers.
I really should charge you a commission...

Yes its a pity you also dont put out the ExxonMobil, Chevron and ConocoPhilips research findings on global warming that was paid out from the record profits to the schill scientists who determined global warming was invented by leftist liberal scum bent on world domination. Or maybe just some scientists and concerned citizens who could not be bought and really want the next generation to enjoy the world from land and not from a small Island in the AtlanticPacific called the United States. Yes Jim we really appreciate you keeping tabs on those alarmists. We are so lucky to have your insight to keep those of us who don't like science and logic honest. Your so right in that we should really leave hard science to the oil companies and their bevy of payroll scientists to keep us awake in the face of those low budget phony scientists. It sure does not bother me that we can now take a boat to the North pole. I rather like the idea of living in Palm Springs and being on the coast. Thanks Jim for keeping us all so informed.
