This person is not a "teenager" He is a 19 year old man. You are an adult at 18 years. He should be fined and imprisoned. If he is an immigrant, send him back where he came from. The law in NZ is an ass.

I live in that area. I am picking you were the fool driving around the place late in the evenings shining laser light into peoples homes. I know what it did to us in our lounge. Temporary blindness and and intense pain. I can only imagine the turmoil and chaos created in a plane cockpit. What you did was akin to an act of terrorism. Potentially taking down a plane full of people in a densely populated area is not a game. It risks the lives of several hundred people. By your comments in other media implying having your fun stopped by stupid rules, you have not learned your lesson. Pity you didn't get 5 yrs jail.
