The annual battle to top the UK pop charts and have the Christmas number one has turned into a three-band race, and the acts couldn't be more diverse.
In the running are the Muppets, reality TV popstar Joe McElderry and Rage Against the Machine.
The race has turned into a battle of words - swear words. Rage appeared on a BBC radio breakfast show this morning to perform their song 'Killing In The Name', but their performance was cut short after the band broke their promise to perform a clean version.
The station apologised for the incident, but Rage fans say they shouldn't have been surprised that the anarchic band didn't do what they were asked.
The song, which has been re-released after first charting in the early 1990s, may seem like an unusual choice for a Christmas hit - but with only two days remaining until the chart is announced, it has sold 40,000 more copies than its closest rival - reality TV popstar McElderry.
McElderry won TV talent quest The X-Factor on Sunday, making him the protégé of industry heavyweight Simon Cowell.
Cowell's X-Factor champions have topped the Christmas charts every year since 2005, so Rage fans have taken to Facebook to try and break his winning streak.
They are also facing competition from the Muppets, whose cover of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody' is a YouTube sensation.
Bookies are tipping that McElderry could still outsell Rage in the next couple of days.
What the band would have to say about that is anyone's guess.
