Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Angelina Jolie doesn't believe fidelity is essential in a relationship.

The Hollywood actress – who raises six children with her long-term partner Brad Pitt – believes open romances can work just as well as monogamous relationships, if both partners agree to it.

She told Das Neue magazine: "I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It’s worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards.

“Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other.”

The 34-year-old screen beauty – who famously met and fell in love with Brad on the set of Mr. and Mrs. Smith in 2005, while he was still married to Jennifer Aniston – also revealed the pair have a fiery relationship.

She said: "The sparks fly at home if the nice Brad fails to see that he’s wrong and reacts in a defiant way. Then I can get so angry that I tear his shirt."

LOL to read all the comments, intense stuff, who gives a sh** anyway, if she is promoting herself, good on her, if she stole Pitt away from the boring other, good for her achieving her goals, she must be bloody good at at. All I can see is one smart lady who plans every move she makes whether it pisses others off she usually gets what she wants.

HELLO..."publicity". Do you really think that Angelina is so stupid that she would make a comment this controversial w/out an agenda? The woman needs attention to promote her career. Have u not read public opionion polls lately? People are getting bored of her "perfect" act. Time to start pulling out the viles of blood and making out with her brother!

Wow. What a bunch of prudes in here! Monogamy is all about keeping another person as if they're property. If Jolie and Pitt are happy being open, then more power to them! Life's too short to restrict your pleasures, as long as they don't harm other people in the process. I suppose people like Estella, Mary, and David are too busy hitting themselves with boards as they shuffle to the monastery to enjoy life, though. Or maybe they just lie to themselves and pretend that they really *don't* want to have sex with other people. Everyone wants to have sex with other people. It's just that religion came along and made people feel guilty about it. It's just sex. Have fun. You might enjoy it.

Everyone is going nuts about christianity in here but never brings up mormons and polygamy??? So, I guess its okay for a man to have lots of wives but if a woman says that she has an open relationship, of course, she's going to hell. Plus, who the hell told any of you that she's a christian??? Stop assuming everyone in hollywood share the same beliefs as you do.

I guarantee that if Brad and Jennifer wanted to get it on,it wouldn't be OK with her. This signals that she is sexually bored with him. Also, remember she is bisexual, so this might be her way yo have more fun.

Lmao. Why is religion even being brought up?? This article says nothing about religion. This is not saying that she believes open relationships are acceptable to catholics, it does not even connect her with catholicism. All this is saying is that she believes "Brangelina" can last without monogamy. If the two of them agreed to it, then the decision was unanimous. Why can we not seem to accept that these two people can create a loving and lasting open relationship even when most people can not even manage a loving or lasting monogamous relationship??

If infidelity means nothing, let's see how Jolie acts when she gets robbed.

10 commandments, what are those? Commandments and constitutions are like caution signs. They are just there for viewing purposes these days...

This woman is in need of a serious butt-whipping she obviously never received as a child. Oh, that's right, disciplining our children is forbidden. Heaven forbid they should grow up with respect for others and with a sense of morality.
