Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has been caught apparently getting up close and on line with an American porn star.
Her name is Alyssa Roxi – the porn star who, according to her Twitter page, is "the girl next door who just loves to get naked”.
She has just 29 followers, and one of them is Mr Rudd.
It’s no hoax – the account is Mr Rudd’s official Twitter, verified by the ALP’s National Secretary.
So why is he a follower of Ms Roxi?
The most likely explanation is Mr Rudd, or one of his staff, didn’t do their research when deciding to follow Ms Roxi.
It’s not a hanging offence – a Californian politician did the same.
But, it is embarrassing.
“A lot of the pornography industry is using Twitter to get to people like you and me,” says technology expert Charlie Brown.
An avid church-goer, Mr Rudd was busted ahead of the last Australian election for visitng a New York strip club on a trip paid for by the taxpayers.
When asked if there were semi-naked women there, and what they were doing, Mr Rudd had responded, “Because I had drunk a fair bit, I don’t have a completely clear recollection”.
The PM’s office said he could not be held responsible for the six billion people who use the internet.
Still – they were quick to remove him as one of Ms Roxi’s followers.
