Wellington's recent wind is the type that can make using an umbrella fraught with danger.

But if you're sick of dodging their sharp points or having them blow inside out, an innovative new Kiwi design may be just what you need.

How do I buy one of these umbrellas?

I don't care if it cost $200, I'd still use an umbrella that doesn't fold inside out. I'm so sick of vented types that flap around with cables and still is hard to control. I've ordered one just on the promo material I've seen. I'm sure I aren't going to be disappointed.

Spent $40 on a vented brolli a while back but it is too big for just walking around with. Hard to find one that is vented portable, fiberglass and good if your walking in the sun as well as rain.

This is a great idea and real kiwi innovation. Good job!

I don't look good on the future of these kind of umbrellas. It's like the case of typewriters and improving on typewriters, which is slowly dying off when PC came out. Just use raincoats when it's raining.

Great it is about time but can the person on the street buy one or is it for these with large amounts of $$$ in the bank only.
