Should the Human Centipede be banned?

Notorious horror film The Human Centipede (First Sequence) is about to be shown in selected cinemas around New Zealand after shocking audiences at film festivals. This has outraged some members of the public who are offended by the film’s distasteful premise – the surgical connection of three victims, mouth-to-anus. Thoughts?

This should be banned, this is not a horror movie, it is just sick. Horror movies should be scary not sickening. What a sad world we live it than anyone would even think of such a concept let alone turn it into a movie.

I'm so sick of the Government banning things. We live in a country that is run by democracy, meaning we have the right to choose what we watch. Therefore, the movie should not be banned. It should be rated R18+ and anyone who wished to see it should be able to do so. Why does the Government insist on banning everything? :@

This is just another example that humanity is devolving. 2000 years ago we went to shows to watch people be ripped apart by lions becuase people hated them. Now we go to movies to watch human torture just becuase it's fun to watch? But's it's just a movie you say? Go read the stats on people trafficing and human torture. This is a growing problem that is being lead by western countries. Draw the line NZ censor, every movie you let in like this puts the blood of innocent people on your hands!

With no warning on the imagery shown on even the trailer before the article tonight I am disappointed at tv 3/nightline for their lack of integrity and professionalism by showing this kind of rubbish on your show. Did you really think this was newsworthy? Im shocked. If people want to watch this kind of stuff thats their business but to put it on nightline news??? You have certainly lost me as a viewer.
