Great to think that some thousands of visitors have enjoyed the facilities over the last 46 years and the view of course which is spectacular. Was also involved in removing remains of a previous hut lower down and selecting the present track line where it exits at SH 46. Passed by on 16 Aug 2012 and noted ash on the road. Would love to re-visit the Hut Site again but the uphill drag might prolong the trip!! Ian B.
