The Homebrew Crew are a Kiwi hip-hop outfit that don't mind being Kiwi - their lyrics dealing with things like WINZ and the DPB.
New Zealand director Chris Graham decided to collaborate for their upcoming single 'Underneath the Shade', which is essentially a comedic portrait about the apathy towards global warming.
Last month Homebrew were refused NZonAir music video funding, so Graham and the boys "decided to take the No.8 bling wire approach and raise the funds ourselves”.
"The boys have collected a number of talented bands & DJs to play for free to support this artistic cause," says Graham.
The fundraiser is on Saturday 17 April at Auckland’s Plaything Gallery, including performances by Tourettes, David Dallas and Homebrew themselves.
To raise awareness of the gig, Graham filmed and directed this story with reporter David Farrier.
