If the Crusaders win on Saturday in Brisbane it will be their 8th championship title.

Not bad for a team which has had to travel to every fixture - a team without a home ground.

Without a home venue there have also been none of the usual family get-togethers, a part of what makes the Crusaders franchise so close and so successful.

The players felt guilty about leaving loved ones and little ones behind in uncertain times, but with each victory they are giving their bruised and battered supporters something to smile about.
