If not for the 10% cap my Greenhithe rates would go up 46%. Is Auckland now going to have a North/South divide? Money from North subsidising the South. 3.6% Yeah right

When I receive the new rates bill and should it still have a levy for the RWC Eden Park developement almost a year after the event then I shall be highly annoyed. All in all I think the Auckland Council will go through with rate rises for very little in return. The Law of Diminishing Return for every dollar paid in rates.Auckland ratepayers will continue receiving outlandish rates bills and,to recoup even more monies for say Councillors pay increases, there will be yet more levies upon various items that we no longer have free access to e.g free inorganic collections.
