Christchurch has been overwhelmed with injured people

Christchurch Hospital is operating but getting to it is a problem - makeshift triages are set up with everyone who can lending a hand.

Hospitals around the country are on code red calling for blood donations, ready and prepared for any casualties that make it out of Christchurch.
