Yes the media is in the habit of sensationalising topics in order to make its' products more appealing. You'll find that in any commercial organisation. Would those that claim the media has a more sinister agenda please explain; whose or what vested interests they are protecting with this program, and also why 'they' wish the NZ public to be intolerant of different religions? The facts support this documentary. I have first hand experience of two cultic organisations and can therefore see beyond the journalistic sensationalism and know that these cultic groups really are dangerous. You would not want to loose a dear friend or a family member to one, trust me.

This is very much discrimination just as saying "all blacks are the same" "all whites are the same" "all men are the same" or "all women are the same". Scientologists contributed millions of dollars to Scientology and they were told that the money was going to "advance" Scientology, when it was really being smuggled out of the country and into secret European bank accounts owned by L Ron Hubbard. Scientology personally benefiting L Ron Hubbard is a sign of a destructive cult, as opposed to a rigion.
I'm not an advocate for electro shock therapy, over use of ritalin, or youth suicide either... just as I'm not an advocate for brainwashing cults that use people for their own self-indulgence. I never said I blame religion... A cult is not inherently religious by any means. The underlying message here is not about religion at all, it is that absolute power corrupts good people, religious or not.

You have been duped and are not looking at facts but doing what this program's creators intend; becoming filled with religious intolerance for any belief other than your own. Really, when it comes down to it, what does TV provide for our children; graphic violence, examples of children being abusive to parents (via so-called comedy shows), and porn via music videos that would rival any prohibited internet pornography that could ever by mustered. This is open abuse of the right (and it is a right) to public broadcast. It is being misused to create the mindset the perpetrators WANT NZ public to have; religious intolerance.
Most mainstream religious groups are not openly condoning child abuse, drug use and suicide in the name of religion etc... so there is a big difference between those mainstream groups you have listed and toxic cult like groups that preach these activities as the way to spiritual enlightenment.
