Cut funding to education, then channel it to non-essential bariatric surgery. Such smart politicians!

$480M "Cutback" Govt & their Dpts have always got their money priorities wrong, back to front and the other way round. Nationwide, they basically make all schools near impossible to sustain, let alone retain good proper school teachers too, on such a mirsely wage. How will childcare centres cope with Govt increases indeed? Close down, shut down, move on and possibly amalgamate, reduce hours drastically, get out altogether! Who knows. A Progressive Workforce is one thing, but it's too theoretical, for the here and now. Good luck to all.

Bottomless pit aye? well the MP's have been spending up on perks, spent much dosh on the SFO bailout, tax cuts for the rich, doing up government house, added funding for private schools, World cup expenses, new prisons, extra funding for obesity surgery, 64m upgrade to the St James. This doesn't sound like a government that are trying to skim back. Why are they attacking our education system?
