A huge fire has destroyed a boiler factory in South Auckland overnight.
It is not clear how the fire at Wiri’s Crow Refractory began, although the Fire Service does not believe it to be suspicious.
A fire fighter at the scene said it was a large fire and lots of staff were needed to put it out.
“The job is at third alarm level which is about 13 or 14 appliances, 50 or 60 fire fighters.”
The blaze was brought under control within an hour.
No injuries were reported.
