Hugh Jackman served hot drinks to happy fans at the opening of his new café in New York City.

The Hollywood star was on hand to perform waiting duties when Laughing Man Coffee & Tea was launched yesterday.

The actor wore dark trousers, a black leather coat and sunglasses to attend the launch. A host of film fans gathered outside the establishment in the Tribeca neighbourhood, all hoping to catch a glimpse of their hero.

Hugh was on fine form, and was happy to pose for pictures and sign autographs. The star even treated some of his young fans to a hot beverage as he wanted to show his appreciation.

The café is linked to Hugh’s Laughing Man charity and he’s opened it with his pals Barry and David Steingard.

The actor was in Ethiopia when he met a coffee farmer, and decided opening a range of establishments with links to people who grew the beans would be a good idea. His friends Barry and David had been planning to build a café brand and so they decided to work together.

“I met a man who changed the way I looked at the world. As Dukale and I planted coffee trees together, I began to see the potential for one man’s hard work to transform an entire community,” Hugh has previously said.

“While working with Dukale that day, I was so inspired by what I learned from him and his community. I made Dukale a promise to do my bit to help. Laughing Man Worldwide is the fulfilment of that promise.”

Profits from the new business will go to the charity, which aims to improve education for children.
