British Airways is urging people with travel plans in and out of Britian next week to keep a close watch on flight details as ash clouds from Iceland's erupting Eyjafjallajokull glacier again threaten to cause air travel chaos.

Britian's Secretary of Transport has said if the glacier continues to erupt at current levels and weather conditions do not change, air travel in Britain could be disrupted between Monday and Wednesday next week.

British Airways spokesman Alan Proud urges passengers travelling through Britain to keep check BA's website.

Earlier in the week, air traffic was shut down from central Spain to the Canary Islands off the coast of Africa.
