Phil Vine meets an Auckland housewife who gave up her comfortable suburban life to be with one of New Zealand’s most notorious criminals.
You’d never pick it, but the woman is leading a double life. She is a retired primary teacher, mother-of-two, and is going out with a man she can never be seen with in public.
She says she doesn't feel she needs to justify what she is doing.
She calls herself Angela, and she calls him Nick. To the rest of the country he’s convicted serial rapist Nicholas Paul Alfred Reekie.
