Some construction-related companies listed on the stock market slipped a little this morning after making big gains yesterday.
They are expected to win new business from the rebuilding of Christchurch.
Insurance company shares, which at one point fell sharply yesterday, have stabilised.
Tower Insurance fell 6c yesterday, but was flat this morning after saying the quake would cost it at most $5 million thanks to re-insurance arrangements.
Fletcher Building gained 39c yesterday. It's down 3c this morning.
It is expected to bid for a number of the re-construction projects.
