The internet has spelt the end for an iconic newspaper that has been a lifeline for thousands of Kiwis on their OE to Britain.

Targeting ex-pats, the New Zealand News UK has distributed in London and various other parts of Britain since 1927.

It has been a source of jobs and flats, and a way for Kiwis overseas to keep in touch with each other.

But it looks to have been put out for the last time, after publishing was suspended in July.
