With the bye week comes a chance to reflect on a frustrating loss to the Sharks last weekend for the Warriors.

Halfback Shaun Johnson feels he could have taken more responsibility for the loss but is confident the side can shake it off and string some wins together.

“No team likes to be in the position we are in where we are a bit off the pace with the top eight,” says Johnson.

“You always want to bounce back and prove yourself…We’re going to have to get a move on in winning some games…We haven’t been too far off the pace…if we keep building on what we’re doing hopefully our run will come naturally,” he says.

Shaun needs to take control of the game. Commit the defence/opposition. Create space for centre wing full back. Like Benji you have the speed to neutralise a whole back line. You have the ability use it now. Clubs will then plan their game on what your doing which makes it easier for your coach to put his game plan in place. For you to maximise your talents your forwards still need to lay the foundation. Nothing changes. They need to improve their aroebic fitness. They are physically strong enough. They need to be more agressive at their play the ball. Do it much quicker and go straight up the middle. Penalties, points and options for Shaun will be the result. RL., is a a simple game. But practice makes perfect...
