As someone in the Whangarei electorate who has always thought good of Phil, I must say I am disappointed - I did not think you were greedy! You are the talk of the town & it is not good. Just because you can, don't mean you should !!

What is the difference between the banks' tax avoidance schemes and the MP's approach to double dipping? Both may comply with the black letter of the law, but they are still contrived and artificial. Unacceptable, surely?

I'm sorry Phil Heatley, but when you are paid $245,000 per annum you don't need a tax payer subsidy to keep your little family together, your salary is more than adequate.
