According to Dr McNamara, eggs contain higher levels of choline than any other non-meat product

The egg is not only a good source of protein, it also contains a nutrient called choline which is essential to developing foetuses.
 
But a world expert in egg nutrition says most pregnant women are deficient and need to up their intake.
 
World leading consultant Dr Donald McNamara says that "everyone needs to get enough choline in their diets to stay healthy, however it is especially critical during pregnancy and lactation."
