Three Houses Down scooped top honours at last night's Pacific Music Awards in Manukau City.
But if there was an award for best moves, it would have gone to this year's breakout star, J. Williams.
The sixth annual Pacific Music Awards was to honour pacific talent – both present and past.
J. Williams picked up Best Pacific Male artist for his first album Young Love.
“Looking back at two years I've been in the industry, it's been a hard road, a really hard road, but I'm happy now, I'm content, I'm proud of myself,” he says.
Best Female went to R&B artist Erakah.
The reggae sound of Three Houses Down scooped the coveted Best Pacific Music Album for Break Out and Best Pacific Song with ‘Kanikapila’.
Smashproof took out the Radio Airplay award for 'Brother' and South Auckland's Savage was voted Best Pacific Urban Artist for Savage Island.
Adeaze performed a tribute for Ardijah who picked up the lifetime achievement award and special tribute was paid to Pauly Fuemana who died earlier this year.
J Williams had some advice for budding artists:
“I know there's a lot of talent in Auckland and New Zealand. Don't limit yourself to your bedroom – if you think you've got, take it out.”
He says he's looking forward to negotiating with Australian record labels in two months time.
