Horror icon Freddy Krueger has a new face - actor Jackie Earle Haley has signed on to play the villain in a new Nightmare On Elm Street movie.
The casting has been confirmed after months of speculation.
Twenty five years after Robert Englund debuted Krueger, Watchmen actor Haley will slip on his famous mask in a new sequel due to start shooting in the US next month.
Kyle Gallner from The Haunting In Connecticut will also star in the film as Quentin, the Johnny Depp character from the original film that's pairing up with Nancy to solve the mystery of the razor-glove wearing dream demon, according to www.bloody-disgusting.com.
It will be the 10th Nightmare on Elm Street movie in the franchise, which has also spawned two TV series.
