Michael Jackson's public memorial has been a thing of mystery, the last big rumour suggested there would be a viewing of Jackson's body at the Neverland ranch this weekend.
But a media conference called in downtown Los Angeles this morning has cleared up the confusion.
The conference confirmed that the public memorial will be held at the LA Lakers home stadium on Tuesday, but most importantly, how many of Michael Jackson's fans will be able to attend.
AEG Live Entertainment CEO Tim Leiweke says that the Jackson family has made 17,500 tickets available for fans. Of those, 11,000 will be the Staples Centre and 6,500 will be at the Nokia Theatre for a simulcast on three big screens across the street.
To get the tickets, fans have to sign up for a lottery on the website staplescentre.com. Registrations close tomorrow, then a computer will randomly select the winners.
For those who aren't lucky enough to end up with a ticket, the advice is to stay home. The memorial service won't be shown the centre's outdoor big screens.
While Whitney Houston, Diana Ross and Liz Taylor are expected to make an appearance, and Stevie Wonder is set to perform, little else has been confirmed.
But what has been confirmed is that the event will not be a funeral and that Jackson's body will not be present.
The King of Pop will be buried in a Hollywood cemetery not far from the graves of Brando, Bogart and Walt Disney.
