John Key says if Japan wants to join the APEC free trade agreement it will have to hurry up and do it on our terms

Japan has thrown a massive police presence around the port city of Yokohama ahead of the APEC Summit and the possibility of protests and terrorism.

Among those who will attend is New Zealand Prime Minister John Key, who says if Japan wants to join the APEC free trade agreement it will have to hurry up and do it on our terms.

What does Japan have to gain by open market conditions with New Zealand. It seems to be a case of New Zealand taking the whole "punching above it's weight" line a little too far. NZ's economy is barely that of a province in Japan. Japan's only interest in TPP, is being able to have open access to the U.S. market, on par with South Korea, who as a competitor, makes all the same high tech products.

who exactly needs who here the most? if you ask me John Key is feeling a little impotent so is trying a bit of bravado on for size.

It doesnt look fantastic coming from a politician who just got off his knees after gobbing it up for the hobbit.

Now say sorry, and try and be better behaved in future... or no more tax payer funded holidays for you johnny boy.
