Kangaroos’ winger Jarryd Hayne has claimed that England will deliberately lose next weeks Four Nations match against the Kiwis if England beat Australia on Sunday morning.

“If we lose this, I’m sure the Pom’s aren’t going to beat the Kiwis so they can play us in the final,” says Hayne.

England only need one win against either New Zealand or Australia to qualify for the November 14 final.

So with a win in the bag against the Aussies, losing their final game against New Zealand could be in their interests, if they do not want to face Australia in the final, according to Hayne.

Former England forward Adrian Morley is angered by Hayne’s comments saying “Every test match I can guarantee we’re going to play for a win."
