Jennifer Aniston has taken her romance with actor/writer Justin Theroux to the next level - by introducing him to her dad.

The trio dined at Delmonico's Steak and Lobster House in Los Angeles earlier this month, according to Life & Style magazine - and onlookers tell the publication the actress was "on edge" throughout the meal.

Looking visibly nervous in a corner booth, Aniston - a regular at the restaurant - really wanted to make sure the two men in her life got along.

A fellow diner tells Life & Style, "She was smiling a lot, but you could tell this was a special event for her."

The trio reportedly ordered lobster bisque, Manhattan clam chowder, a crab dish and a four-pound lobster during their long lunch.

Theroux and Aniston's actor father, John, shared a bottle of red wine and completed the meal in style with 20-year-old port.

The actress' dad recently confided to Life & Style that the perfect guy for his 42-year-old daughter would be "someone honest".

Theroux has been a constant companion for Aniston in recent weeks, attending her three-hour chat with James Lipton for TV show Inside The Actors Studio and the actress' hand and footprint ceremony on Hollywood Boulevard.

I thought Jennifer Aniston was so against breaking up couples. I quess those rules don't apply to her. Maybe now she will leave Brad and Angelina alone.
