Jessica Simpson’s new perfume is inspired by her favourite movie, Great Expectations.
The singer-and-actress is famed for her successful clothing and accessories brand, called the Jessica Simpson Collection.
It includes footwear, lingerie, denim, hair extensions and clothing, and also two fragrances. The star is now set to launch Fancy Nights, a follow up scent to Fancy and Fancy Love. It will hit stores next month, and Jessica is excited to be sharing it with her fans.
“The inspiration for Fancy Nights was one of my favourite movies of all-time, Great Expectations,” she explained.
“It is just one of those movies that has you wanting to feel love … and then you finally find it and it embraces you. I thought that the next fragrance should do that.”
Perfumer Steve De Mercado helped come up with the new fragrance. It smells of bergamot, papyrus, patchouli, rose and jasmine, and Jessica is adamant it will appeal to women of all ages.
“Fancy Nights is all about expecting somebody to fall in love with the aura that you are giving off… that seductive beautiful romantic side of you,” she added to ET Online. “You can't ever let it go… kind of like love.”
