Joe Jonas is considering a solo career after watching younger brother Nick enjoy success with his new band The Administration.

Seventeen-year-old pop star Nick debuted his new group, The Administration, in November and the new act performed as the house band at the Critics Choice Movie Awards on Friday.

And now his Jonas Brothers bandmate brother Joe is secretly working with other bands for a possible side project.

He tells E! Online, "I'm writing songs right now. I'm writing a lot of music. It's going really well. I've written about five songs with some of my friends in different bands and things like that. With Grammy Week coming up, all my friends and all these musicians are flying in (to Los Angeles). I love writing with musicians."

And the 20 year old insists music isn't the only thing he's concentrating on - he's also wading through Hollywood scripts.

He adds, "I'm looking forward to doing more acting. I know everybody says this, but I want to be able to do everything. I won't be satisfied until I'm ready to do every kind of role - from a villain to a comedian."
