The Prime Minister's revealed he's off to Hollywood for talks with movie industry executives - and he acknowledges his visit is likely to be criticised.

Mr Key says his two and a half days in the movie industry capital will involve talks about attracting more filmmakers to New Zealand.

But he does admit some will read more into the trip.

Mr Key told RadioLIVE there is a theory held by some that it was Hollywood which influenced US authorities, and ultimately New Zealand, to investigate Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom.

“Yeah the conspiracy theorists won’t like it they’ll be on TV tonight saying ‘yeah you know Dotcom’ and all this sort of carry on but they live in fantasy land.”

And Mr Key has again rejected calls for an independent inquiry into the Government spy agency's illegal surveillance of Mr Dotcom.

"Going to Hollywood"... isn't that household slang for "loosing contact with reality"?

Just a wee bit concerned Johnny at what laws you plan to instill when you return for your next project. Im still reeling from the audacity of your winz offices telling people not to head down to ch ch for work or there benefits will be cut and supplying cheap asian labour into the building industry when we have a shortage of work. I really couldnt try and guess what your next move is as I dont have your talants at manipulating. I do suspect a new movie and more law changes to clip workers rights for the warner bros clan. Oh and perhaps an inquiry into our pms handling of the inteligence bungling. Darn hes left the country again. Rather timely if you ask me.

@Gary. We don't know to what extent Mr Key had control of those helicopters. It is surprising that John Banks has forgotten how to fly one. What I do know is that the Law Society, as with the motion picture and recording industry associations of America, are going to have to come into the age of the Internet or their only alternative, if they wish to be "c and p"ful is to shut down the whole network entirely. They are so reluctant to change their ways, as greed blinds logic

It looks like Keys corruption and power spreads too far a wide for anything to be done while he is still in power so the only option we have for a free and safe NZ is to get him out by NOT voting for him or National. What ever your political veiws this is the only solution he has left his people. JK must go for the sake of NZ.

@PM. Your apology is not genuine because if Helen Winkelmann had not found out about the irresponsible behaviour it would continue, as it will do. The only honourable apology is spelled out here: "If the Minister orders that the extradition proceedings be discontinued, the Minister may cancel any warrant of arrest and order the discharge of any person arrested under the warrant" and this will prove YOUR citizenship and allegiance. Write them out, hold your pen in your hand, listen to David Lange's speech to the supporters of the bomb, and let us see what you really believe is defensible. "The character of their argument, Sir, I find regrettable" More than a faceless warrant is needed from Virginia. We want to know how you believe it is justified to try to change copyright law via our Court rather than by democratic process

Actually Alien I have voted for National all my life, I am not impressed by John Key and was silly enough to vote for him last time. But a man that covers up his mistakes and takes no responsibility for his actions does not deserve anyones respect. As a National Party supporter I want an inquiry into John Keys honesty, I want something done about John Banks. If Key is going to continue to treat us all like fools, then votes will be lost. Particularly if he lets the police coverup their own mistakes as well as his. Planet Key is an understatement, John Key lives in his own universe.

Conpiracy on *Planet Key*? On Planet Key; Hollywood had no imput into megaupload takedown?, Hollywood does not help write laws for NZ & the World?, Hollywood had no imput into 3-strikes internet laws "Skynet"?, Hollywood had no part in SOPA, PIPA, ACTA?, Hollywood has no say in TPP?, Leon Panetta just popped over for a cuppa tea?, Mr Banks is honest?, there should be no enquiry into the GCSB?,Mr Keys trips around the Pacific, to Japan, to Russia etc had nothing to do with TPP? Nothing to fear from secret trade deals? (Trade Minister Tim Groser will put NZ first, instead of his job application for head of WTO) & John Key sets such high Moral & Ethical standards? In the real World things are a little different, Keys behaviour is disgracefull!

The Press, Christchurch , Saturday 29 September says it all He as Prime Minster is all too shy of his desk in the Bee Hive and more interested in overseas travel, gushy comments and hand shaking and photo opportunities. Perhaps he would be better to have a film audition and promote himself as a comedian while he is there. That's what he is turning out to be. One big sick joke From a former National voter. I can no longer take this man seriously.

Strange coincidence Key is off to hollywood right now?!!. But i gaurantee this, his reason for going is just a cover. Dont keep your finger crossed that hes going to tell them to get lost. No , hes going to see how "they" can help him get out of the shite hes currently in with Kim Dotcom.
Trying to discredit evryone by bringing up the old *conspiracy theorists* label is the only answer Key can give now. Hes running scared. Govts hate conspiracy theorists cause thats how you uncover the truth. Its called free thinking.
