I cannot believe how naive some of the readers of this are. Labour for 9 years sat and did nothing during the most prolific economic climate the world has seen for many years. When National opened the vault the cupboard was empty. If anything I think quietly they were please not to have won last year because they do not have the skills to manage out of the current economic resession. How many Labour MPs know anything about business? How many have ever had to return a GST statement? Ask the same of National.

Ah cyril, the conspiracy theorist :P

This country was left in a mess last time National was in.

The Benefit slashes of the 90's the think big projects in the 70's and 80's.

Whenever this country is the most in debt... National is in charge.. how much was this years defecit again... which is nothing to do with labour.. Key has been there the entire year.

And English is trying to borrow 40 billion? what for? what kind of debt are they planning to put us in this time around?.

Key isnt the best of a bad lot, Key is just manipulative and knows how to sway public opinion... it doesnt make him a great man just a master manipulater.

Dont be naieve David. The reason the other parties are saying very little is because they are all doing it. Key is just the best of a bad bunch. Same as Helen, she was only there so long because there was no one to replace her and the situation hasnt changed. Labour showed there good intentions for New Zealand by leaving the country in such a mess and boobytraped our future just to make it hard for National.
