Pop star Justin Bieber has announced he will be performing in New Zealand as part of his Believe tour.
The ‘Baby’ hitmaker tweeted this morning: “oh yeah...and just agreed to routing for EUROPE, RUSSIA, MIDDLE EAST, ASIA, AUSTRALIA and NZ, South America, and S AFRICA BELIEVE TOUR dates”.
Today’s concert news came along with the announcement that Never Say Never filmmaker John Chu will be creatively directing the Believe tour. In a video uploaded to YouTube, Chu and Bieber sign a contract with each other saying the tour will be "the greatest show on the planet".
Canadian born Bieber recently announced he would be in New Zealand July 18-20 on a promotional visit. He was last here in 2010 on an eventful trip saw him have his hat stolen on arrival at Auckland International Airport and held to ransom, receive a personalised All Blacks jersey and perform his only New Zealand concert to date, an intimate affair at Strathallan College.
The 'Boyfriend' hitmaker is the most viewed YouTube artist of all time, with a combined total of 2.7 billion video views. There are also over 24 million people following Bieber on Twitter.
His second album, Believe, was released June 8.
