Pop sensation Justin Bieber will arrive in New Zealand tonight to promote his new album.

The 18-year-old will fly in from Australia where he performed on breakfast television this morning, proving he's as popular as ever.

The Beliebers camped out all night in Sydney, hoping to be the first to see their idol.

“I am his biggest fan you have no idea,” one fan screamed. “Oh my god I love him so much.”

And the fans weren't disappointed.

If you thought Bieber was "so two years ago" think again.

Breakfast Television show Sunrise gave away 2500 tickets to fans, more than 50,000 people applied for them.

Thirty police officers and more than 30 security guards were called in to keep the crowd under control.

The performance was ticketed because when Bieber performed on Sunrise 15 months ago it got out of control and the police shut it down.

Because of that Channel 7 pleaded with fans to only come along if they had a ticket - but it didn't stop hundreds showing up hoping to catch a glimpse.

And those who did said it was a life changing moment.

Several girls fainted and were treated by paramedics while others got lost in the moment.

One father lost the fans he was with.

“I had three girls here but they've all run off,” he said. “I'll find them… I'm just waiting for the hormones to settle down a bit.”

Bieber is due to arrive in Auckland tonight where he'll perform a concert for 200.

So far the location is a secret, so they may avoid scenes like this.
