If you haven’t locked up your daughters already, it’s too late now.
Justin Bieber has been in Auckland since last night – his own mother trampled by a crowd of screaming fans at the airport and clothing torn from his body.
Some fans had made signs, while others had written letters they hoped to deliver personally.
At 11.30pm the short, 16-year-old Canadian arrives and Bieber-mania takes over the airport.
Bieber and his entourage drove away, despite being chased and having his hat stolen by an over-excited female fan.
But Bieber says his New Zealand fans are "on top".
"They're number one," he says.
It is a sight he is slowly getting used to, since being discovered by hip-hop star Usher on YouTube.
Justin Bieber is now a hit machine.
Today he had an unusual date, at Auckland’s Strathallan College. It was lunchtime when he arrived, accompanied by 3 News cameras.
Bieber’s first task during his visit was to take part in Dragon song ‘Rain’ in front of a massive media pack. Students wanted him to sing along, but Bieber didn’t know the words, opting for the drums and a drum solo.
Just after 2.30pm this afternoon Justin Bieber performed his only New Zealand gig – a performance Strathallan College had won thanks to a radio promotion.
Students form other schools had taken the day off, travelling from out of Auckland just to catch a glimpse of Bieber.
His last appearance of the day was at C4. The TV3 building was surrounded by screaming “Bieberphiles”, who were fooled when an Edge radio stunt saw a Bieber lookalike pull up in a limo – hours before Bieber’s scheduled arrival.
"I still can't believe it's actually happening," he said.
It’s been a whirlwind trip, which included a bungy of the Harbour Bridge, but Bieber flies out tonight.
