KISS fans will be spending Halloween attempting to break the world's zombie record at the Voodoo Experience festival in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Officials from the Guinness Book of World Record will be present to witness the macabre collection of undead rock fans after the band's headlining slot on 31 October.

Fans are being asked to don make-up and go goth for the world record attempt.

A spokesman for the festival says, "We are attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest gathering of zombies. The current world record is 4,026, held by a group of zombies in the United Kingdom."
