Back in September the 7.1 quake damaged or destroyed 1000 homes in and around Kaiapoi

You might recall the town hit hardest by the first big quake in Canterbury was a town just north of Christchurch, Kaiapoi.

That was back in September when the 7.1 quake - centred west of Christchurch - damaged or destroyed 1000 homes in and around the town.

The people of the town have been very patient in waiting for the Government to decide their future.

But after 11 months they have had enough. They are frustrated and they want the Earthquake Minister to say whether they can get their house repaired or whether they have to rebuild.

The Government's recently zoned a large area of the land orange, meaning the land needs to be reassessed. That has left many people in the town in limbo.

Richard Langston reports.

Move to Christchurch. Dairy Dale milk has been no more than $3-00 for 2 litres for at least a year at most dairies!

We live in Manukau and there is a little Indian spice shop on Great South Road that sells 2 x 2 litre milks for $5.50 (Fonterra brand). He is not the only one in and around Manukau and Manurewa. You just need to look around.

as long as gerry brownlee and kate wilkinson are national mp's, nothing will be done. both let the pike river families down as well, gerry ,laughed at the safety report,
kate ,refused to address safety concerns. 29 died, to vote for these mp's would be letting these 29 down badly.
the buck stops with them and they failed badly.
