Kanye West is never one to shy away from controversy

Kanye West has pulled a controversial new video from his official website.

The 'Stronger' rapper uploaded a 14-minute promo, titled We Were Once A Fairytale, featuring scenes of him cavorting with women in a club.

The video, played to West's track 'See You In My Nightmares', ends with the star involved in a sex scene, and then stabbing himself in the stomach to release an inner-demon.

But just hours after West previewed the footage - directed by Spike Jonze - the star removed it from his site and apologised to fans.

On his blog, he writes, "Sorry I had to take it down."
