Actress Katherine Heigl has no regrets about her starring role in flop movie Zyzzyx Road, insisting she was simply happy to be paid her work.
The Knocked Up star plays seductress Marissa in the 2006 thriller, which took just US$368,000 in its opening year and has been cited as the lowest grossing film of all time.
Many of Heigl’s films such as Killers, The Ugly Truth and One for the Money have been slammed by critics. Her films currently have an average rating of 36 percent on aggregator website metacritic.com, with the highest being Knocked Up (85 percent) and the lowest Valentine (18 percent).
Heigl is adamant she is glad she took the Zyzzyx Road role as her fee for the movie helped to pay her domestic bills.
Asked via her Twitter account if she "regrets" the film, she replied: "Nope! I got paid and needed to pay the rent!"
