The now married Katy Perry has announced she will be bringing her world tour to New Zealand next year.
"I am ecstatic to be able to see the glittering faces and also to go to New Zealand for the first time," Perry told the Sunday Star Times.
"I love going somewhere new because there's a special feeling in the air. It's like when you meet someone you love for the first time."
The California Dreams Tour will be held at Vector Arena on Saturday, May 7.
"I'll be bringing one last blast of sunshine with California Dreams Tour,” says Perry.
Since her 2008 breakthrough with ‘I Kissed A Girl’, Perry has continued to feature at the top of the New Zealand music charts.
Her gold selling, debut album One Of The Boys featured hits including ‘Hot N’ Cold’, ‘Waking Up In Vegas’ and ballad ‘Thinking of You’.
Perry’s second album, Teenage Dream was released in August this year and features two Number one hit singles ‘California Gurls’ (featuring Snoop Dogg), ‘Teenage Dream’ and a third single currently igniting radio, ‘Firework’.
Over the weekend Perry married comedian Russell Brand in north-western India.
Tickets go on sale at 9am, Thursday, November 4, with pre-sale tickets available from Monday, November 1.
