Kelis refused to let her style slip when she was pregnant.
The 'Milkshake' singer - who gave birth to son Knight four months ago - knows it can be difficult to look good in maternity outfits but she always made sure she donned something colourful.
She said: "I know pregnancy is not the most ideal physical situation, but it's amazing when you can be both beautiful and pregnant. Because of the discomfort, I think a lot of women just give up. But I never gave up. My hair and nails were always done and I was always wearing something bright and shiny, made me feel better. I think that's important."
However, Kelis - who split from Knight's father, rapper, Nas, when she was pregnant - says she wouldn't wear her maternity clothes now she has got her figure back.
She told Honey magazine: "I think I pulled myself together pretty well but I don't know if I'd wear those outfits again. I just looked like a nice pregnant lady. Am I running to put that s**t back on now? No!"
